What’s involved in a video interview?

Types of Video Interview responses

How does a video interview work?

A video interview requires you to review and respond to a series of questions that are revealed to you as you progress through the interview.

As you reveal each question, you will have a short period of time to read the question and prepare your response. Once the review time has elapsed, you are required to record and submit a response to that question within the time allowed, and in the format indicated for the question (typically video or written response).

It is important you wait for your submitted response to upload successfully before moving on to the next question.

If you do accidentlly move away from the page or close your browser window before your response has been successfully submitted, you may be locked out of the question and unable to complete it. In this event you will need to contact the Testgrid support team to re-open the question for you.

We strongly recommend you aim to complete your video interview in a single session.

However, you are able to begin responding to your interview questions and return at a later time to complete any remaining questions. Just make sure you have submitted previous question responses correctly and don’t miss the completion deadline!

What is a video interview?

A video interview is a modern recruitment process where you are asked to respond to interview questions on camera and submit your recorded responses to be shared with a prospective employer or organisation.

Video interviews allow you to complete your recorded interview at a time and location that suits you.
